My Direct Tv DVR won't connect to wireless internet?
I have never had this problem before, and it (the internet connection) has been working fine. Until today that is. I just finished watching Game of Thrones season 1, so I went to HBO on Demand to download season 2, but the episodes weren't downloading. So I tried to reconnect but it won't let me. My DVR is connected via the Ethernet cable to my internet receiver, so I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Also, I went on DirectTv website, and it told me to make sure SWiM was connected and it is

Just a general tip that may help you out here. When the Internet goes down, the most common cure is to re-start the router. This can be done by unplugging it - wait for a moment - then plug it back in again.
At this point, check the setup of each connection. For wired Ethernet, there is little to do, however for WiFi - you need to check the setup for each item that is not connected is it should be. Enter into the device setup menu, go to the Internet setup menu, then check the status... resetting it as need be.
Good luck.

Login into your http:// address or modem router dsl to access your configs,
Go to Firewall-->IP Passthrough, set the Allocation Mode to Passthrough, set the Passthrough Mode to DHCP, put in the MAC address of the device (not sure if you have to do this but you can find it by going to INFO -run test screen, more system info, scroll down to find it) and set the lease for 1 day. DHSCPS-Fixed.
then, after you reset your modem, reset your directv box or genie. There is a push button on the front to access it...
