Will the city of Detroit eventually declare bankruptcy?

Do you think other American cities could potentially face a similar fate?

Possibly in both cases. Heavy industry was outsourced to Asia long ago and high-tech was sucked away in the past decades and is still being drawn. It all went to cheaper desperate grossly overpopulating excess labor now mostly in Asia. Africa is coming into the global labor market and will/is drawing industries away from even China. Ironically Chinese industries are the ones going there.

All of that is an old story that just happens faster now. Huge hordes of my then overpopulating Irish and German relatives swarmed into North America and swamped the labor market here like they did in their homelands. They brought economic depressions then too. Meanwhile the continually burgeoning hordes then in Europe ultimately forced two world wars of conquest for the land and resources their swelling numbers required.

Source(s): For decades I studied philosophies, cultures, and social institutions. I began that because of confusion resulting from my military experience under the shadow of neo-Marxist anti-military and anti-capitalism indoctrination in the universities. I continue a forty year quest wading through the huge pile of stinking crap a wide variety of bigots dumped on top of truth hiding it from nearly everyone's view. The pile was made by blaming people or practices they don't like while excusing people or practices they do like regardless of where the fault really lies.

I have oidea on the city plans, but it would certainly be possible. Several cities have declared bankruptcy already and it is a growing trend.
