I currently just got started in cars and do not know much about them yet so you guys could really help me out.
Which is better in General in your opinion
which runs better and last longer
what are the prices on average for both of these cars
also which model for the Camaro would you suggest

This really comes down to your personal preference. In those days, you could get pretty much any General Motors motor you wanted in your Chevy, so some of these questions about which runs longer/better will have to do with the motor in the car.
In general, the Impala is a bigger, heavier car. It is also slightly less popular, and thus slightly less expensive than the Camaro of similar vintage. Which is best is matter of opinion. I used to LOVE the '67-'69 Camaro, but I've seen so many that I'd be more inclined to an Impala if I had the choice.
For a rock-solid example of either, you are going to be paying north of $20K these days. For something that needs work, you're still going to be spending north of $10,000.
