Does anyone know how to contact YouTube for help? No longer sound on my video?

My favorite video I uploaded to YouTube no longer had sound/audio. It worked fine for years and all of a sudden it plays without the sound. I gave proper copyright credit. YouTube even helped display the song I used in the video. Even the speech and words from the videos do not make a sound. It is like the video plays in mute all the time. I have been trying to look for a way to contact YouTube to see if they can re-upload my video so that the sound come back. The original video is on a laptop that doesn't work anymore and is nearly impossible to retrieve. I called the number YouTube provides and they don't help at all. Can anyone help me with my situation please????

It is completely illegal to upload video or songs that you did not personally write, perform and record yourself unless you have the required permission. You can be sued by each and every one of the copyright owners. You can have your YT account terminated for violation of the terms of service.

YT did you a favor by deleting it, but the copyright owners already have more than enough evidence if they want to sue you for the $30,000 in statutory damages allowed under 17 USC 504, for "innocent infringement", or up to $150,000 for "willful" infringement.

Giving "credit" to someone else simply helps others to confirm you know you don't own the copyright and to forward the link to those who do. Plagiarism isn't illegal. Copyright infringement is.

Add: If you "give credit" to the property owner when you borrow and drive someone else's car, does that prevent the police from giving you a ticket for a speeding violation? What if you didn't even have permission to borrow it? "It's okay officer, I stole this car from my neighbor, Fred Green, so you can't arrest me, since I'm not claiming it as mine." Good luck with that.

"gave proper copyright credit" - giving credit does NOTHING

Copyright has nothing to do with giving credit. It has to do with copying. Copyright Literally means the right to copy. Thats the record label's right

using the song in your video, then posting the video onto you Tube is copying it... copying it onto youTube..... and that is a copyright violation. Giving Credit does not magically delete the violation

"YouTube even helped display the song I used in the video." - that means they allowed it to stay up... which is always subject to change.. And it changed

there's nothing you can do to fix this. YouTube has every legal right to mute your copyright infringing video at any time they feel like
