Why do people say suicide is selfish?

They are killing themselves to make themselves feel better but greatly hurting family members and friends. I'm not saying I agree they're being selfish but I can see y some would think that

Let me answer that question with a question.

Why do people come to the Psychology section where people are trying to decide whether or not to commit suicide and tell them that suicide isn't so bad?

And what else can they do? How about cash prizes awarded post mortem to the guy's favorite charity?

How about a setting him up with a hooker in a hotel room with a window he can jump out of?

It is selfish because your just thinking about yourself, and not family, friends, like how much hurt they would get by this act. Also, there are other ways of gettting out of matters not just suicide, also suicide is a bad thing,

It is selfish in that it is a cowardly way out and leaves friends and family devastated for years. There is always an alternative.

it is not selfish , you are probably having a bad life and your putting a stop to it all
