On European honeymoon for a few weeks, pro-vaca tips?

I will be on a honeymoon trip for a few weeks in Europe, although it not being my first time there, it is my first on vacation.

I've taken basic language courses to prepare for my countries of destination, however my big issue is standard pricing for cost of living while there, must see places, and common pitfalls. IE Rental vehicle agreements, public transportation, and preparation to minimize foreigner exploitation.

Preparation thus far:

1.) Basic French and Italian (Survival competencies)

2.) GSM disposable phone, will pick up SIM.

3.) Vaccinations and port of entry paperwork completed.

4.) Security briefs, and state department overviews.

5.) Important points of contact / law enforcement numbers for areas of travel.

6.) Small, back up stash of local currencies.

7.) Downloaded digital maps and translators on mobile device.

Update:

Let me clarify, it "was" a honeymoon, now it is an expedition.

You prepared for a military expedition, not a holiday.

Most people will just get off the plane and see what is there. Some might read a few chapters of a travel guidebook.

Do not worry, there are so many tourists around that nobody will even notice you, as long as you are street smart and keep an eye on your money.

Cost will mostly depend on location and hotel choice.

And on travel cost if you want to travel around a lot.

As it is a honeymoon, I would check out a nice hotel in an area where you can see a lot without a lot of traveling, check with them what they charge for food and check out the location on internet so you can see what else is available.

If you want two or more locations, you can do that research for more locations too.

I would plan at least €50 for the rest of your money needs (beyond food, place to stay and travel,) but ideally at least 25% of your budget for hotel and food, with €50 as minimum.

For cheap transportation, don't rent a car, they're too expensive. Look into easy jet, Ryan air, and trains.

If you are worried about gypsies, like especially in Italy and Spain, look into Pacsafe bags, they're theft proof
