Why is the new writing screen so small?
If you answer an e-mail one has to scroll to the left and right and continously using the right scrollbar. Why is the ad-screen hindering to read or write the whole mail?
Is it possible to have the "old" classic screen style back ?

First click the gear and look for 'Basic mail' you might like that better, click it and see. In the near future, that may be your only choice if you don't like the new mail.
You can disable the javascript and you will get a message at the bottom of the page asking if you want to return to the previous program. Click Yes for permanent. After you have returned, go back and enable java.
You can also lower your screen resolution to it's lowest and you will get the message. After you have returned to classic, readjust the screen.
It might be too late because starting the 1st week in June, Yahoo is switching everyone over to the new mail. It's supposed to final by July 9. The classic is going away for good. You are not the only one unhappy about this. But there is nothing we can do.
If you can't switch, you could switch to the 'Basic' instead of the 'full feature' by clicking the gear, then at the bottom you will have a choice to use the basic. Click Save when finished.
