Why are Republicans ignorant and proud of it?

Ignorant of what? this is a non question. More like a rant. Someone may end up reporting you as this is a very hostile section anyway and all those who played this type of flame bait game in this section end up burned very quickly.

With all honestly I thought that this would be a brand new account at level 1 created today or few days back. But when I saw 2009, I was actually quite surprised.

The answer is that republicans are not ignorant, but highly intelligent

Because many Republicans take a fundamentalist view of the Bible, which says all things must be evaluated through scripture before any other consideration. Such a view inhibits them from accepting great amounts of information.

Others still prefer to be isolated by the echo chamber of Right Wing Media, which laments a diverse America, where there isn't ethnic privilege, and anything that rejects a 1950's mindset is considered illegitimate. In this world credibility isn't decided based on data points, and peer review, but based on reputation, zeal, and the willingness to identify oneself as the supreme moral and intellectual authority.

Also remember, American's have very short memories, and are inclined to forget the trespasses of those in power more quickly than in other nations.

Excellent question and I think it reverts to the sheep syndrome, oh wait that is the Obama supporters sorry, I am old and get confused easily. It never hurts to have high self esteem.
