What are some good post-apocolyptic novels?

No zombies or none of that. I'm just talking, the world ended and is a wasteland. Maybe from nuclear bombs, a meteor, or whatever. Kind of like the game Fallout 3, if you know what that is.

I would love if the novel also had some type of romance in it.

The Stand--Stephen King (The apocolypse replaced right into a deadly disease that wiped out a great style of the inhabitants, then people who stay best chum themselves with the servants of God and the servants of evil.) The White Plague--Frank Herbert (a guy who's upset that a terrorist attack committed via the IRA with a Lybian bomb in retaliation for strikes via the English killed his spouse takes his revenge via unleashing dying to all women human beings from those international places--and it spreads previous those borders, and the protagonist has very exciting inner struggles with himself over what he has finished.)
