Anyone else wonder why so many straight people seem to come here for advice?

It's because people don't check what category their question is being put into (when it does it automatically) and yahoo automatically seems to put anything with relationship into lesbian,gay, etc, category.

I think the software that suggests categories has suffered an aneurysm, and many people don't bother to look. I recall one question from a few years ago where a girl had smashed her finger and needed advice to stop the pain, I thought this was an odd place for it. Trigonometry questions and algebra questions pop up here, as well as history questions.

Also take a gander at the spell checker for a sure sign that something's not quite right in the programming; I'd need to actually write 475 words to have that many misspellings.

The only other logical answer I can come up with is that the guys writing code for the program were drunk when they were writing it. That was the best explanation anyone had for why a pistol wound up in the refrigerator and the beer that had been brought back from the store wound up on the table we used for cleaning guns when I was in college.

Like the other answerers said, they just click and post without changing category. Some may post because there are more people on the LGBT category than the Singles and Dating category.

For some reason yahoo sends a lot of questions here as a default and people are too lazy to pick the correct category so just press and post here. That is my understanding of it.

People (specially new members) don't even bother to look up the right category to post their question.

I tend to find relationship questions in the ETIQUETTE section, of all places.
