Isn't it ironic that, if Trayvon Martin was armed, he could have shot Zimmerman and claimed self defense?

If someone is pursuing you down a dark street, I'm pretty sure that's enough reason to defend yourself. But apparently, if the chaser is better armed than you, and kills you, he can claim self defense?

Seriously?

Florida's "Stand your ground law" is really terrible. It does legalize murder. Just like that 15 yr. old kid who stabbed a "bully" something like 20 times at a bus stop and was set free. Normally self-defense laws say it is okay to do this if there is no chance you can flee.

The community Zimmerman lived in had some wreck-ins. No suspects or persons of intrest reported. it is going to have been all of us. Trayvon Martin, on his way from the shop, is "reported as a suspect" by skill of community watch captain George Zimmerman and calls 911. Zimmerman informs dispatcher of the area and says he's following the suspect. Dispatcher warns Zimmerman to now no longer shop on with and police are dispatched. Zimmerman ignores and retains to stay with Trayvon. i do now no longer understand approximately you, yet mutually as somebody is following me, i'm on severe-alert. Zimmerman follows, yet from Trayvon's mindset Trayvon is being stalked, and ultimately techniques Trayvon. by skill of a few ability the two get into an altercation or maybe Zimmerman's account of the way it have been given right here approximately is fuzzy. that's why he did now no longer take the stand in his secure practices by skill of way of certainty it grew to alter into now no longer self secure practices and the prosecution ought to've have been given their conviction.

Isn't it ironic that if Trayvon Martin was white, nobody would know about this case.

Just another case of an aggressive teenage male trying to bully people.

I think its funny that these guys all claim to know what "really" happened yet all have different stories.

People need to stick with facts and quit making up details.

The way that FL Castle Law is worded, that is exactly what could of happened. Barring witnesses or camera footage, the law says you need to take the word of the survivor.

They wont even defend a woman that shot in the air to ward off an attacker.

The streets were well light .

    Wrong.

Had Trayvon been sitting on Zimmerman's chest punching him and then pulled out a gun and shot him, it would be murder. At the time Zimmerman shot Martin, Martin was the aggressor and sitting on top of him, Zimmerman had no means of escape so was justified in shooting martin.

    Followed. Not Pursued.

Pursued means Zimmerman was trying to catch him. And that is not the case.

And no, if someone is following you, you don't have the right to turn around and attack them and then claim self-defense.

Okay doc, I imagine you saw this in your delorean? Just rule 'em both guilty and call it good. No one was there to see it so you can't rule either way.
