Why are idiots with no vision opposed to gm products?
genetic modification has been going on for thousands of years nearly all our food has been and there are millions of starving people on this planet i know some will blart on about cross contamination but it hasnt happened yet not even in the trials the price of food will only go up and eventually and more will go hungry we must act fast and get it growing now
@justme i dont know of any trials where this happened can you name your scources

People are just severely ill-informed also the media hasn't helped. However we don't know where the DNA goes once consumed so there may be dangers involved but this is very unlikely.

Because they are not idiotic.
Genetic engineering are unpredictable and results in combinations that simply could not occur in nature and therefore have not stood the test of time, breeding and hybrids are still combinations possible in nature and hence have been around in one form or another for thousands if not millions of years. Genetic engineering is really more of a shotgun approach.
The other issue is that the Bush administration allowed for the patenting of DNA. Although the company does have every right to benefit from their research dollars, there is no way for them to control the distribution of their modified DNA, it spreads to neighboring fields and to the wild. Monsanto uses this to their advantage by suing farmers who reuse seed from each season's harvest for the next season on the basis of theft of DNA. This means that these farmers must now purchase seed for each growing season, a very substantial expense. The reuse of seeds from previous crops means that the plants are adapted to the local environments and pests, purchased seeds are at best an average of traits for several areas and not necessarily for the farm's location so they simply don't do as well without irrigation, fertilizer herbicides and pesticides. Also Monsanto has been buying all the seed companies around the world so now you can only buy Monsanto seed. The end result is a business model where most of the potential profits of the farm goes to Monsanto in seed, fertilizer, herbicides and pesticides regardless of whether there actually is a profit.
Only an ignorant idiot with no vision would support gm products.
P.S.
No GMO wheat has been approved for sale in North America so where did the GMO strains recently found come from if not from a test field? It's been on the front lines of all the newspapers, you would have to be an idiot not to have noticed.

<<, GM crops are both safe and can help to cut down on pesticide use, thus helping the environment>> Gee meadow, it is great that you are such an environmentalist. And as expected, several actual environmentalists are falling over themselves looking to look moderate and reasonable, clueless that they are just indicating they do not understand the issue. When you genetically modify a plant you are modifying it. It is DIFFERENT. It is really chemically different from the plants we evolved to eat. And it is not obvious what the effects will be, because we do not understand everything. Let's take something we do understand. There is a substance in grapes called resveratrol that might have beneficial properties. Some people think it is responsible for the positive effects of red wine. It is produced by the grape to protect itself from fungal infections. If we make genetically modified grapes that naturally resist fungi in some other way, the grape will stop producing resveratrol or produce less of it. So humans would be going in with the best of intentions, but end up depriving ourselves of useful substances. Plants consumption strongly reduces the risk of cancer. We don't know all the chemicals involved and what causes their production. But if we genetically alter plants we risk losing them without understanding that we are doing that. At least no one claimed thast Al Gore and Prince Philip will become trillionaires by stopping genetic modification of plants.

You can improve your eyesight by simply learning, naturally and practicing the correct way to see for a few small minutes a day. I followed this method and now my vision is perfetct http://getyourvisionbacknow.keysolve.net/
Here are some eye exercises to help improving your eyesight.
Step 1 of eye exercises: Give a soothing massage to your face as well as the area around your eyes. Rub your temples and forehead gently, you can use aromatic oil to add the relaxation. Feel the tension go away from your mind and body.
Step 2 of eye exercises: After relaxing your eyes, start with exercises to strengthen the eyes muscles. For example, lower and raise your eyebrows or rolling your eyes slowly. The shut your eyes and cover them with your palms. While training your eye muscles, it is important to give them a relaxing condition. “Vision Without Glasses” - program you'll be taken by the hand, it shows you how to improve your vision naturally, permanent and complete solution.

. The safety of such products is not verified yet, in fact, we are the lab rats to test the safety of such technology.
This is sad but true. In fact, genetically engineered food is being consumed daily with no thorough research of its potential threats on human health.
2. Genetically modified ingredients can cause cancer.
A consultant histopathologest at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary, Dr Stanley Ewen, raised the concern that food and water contaminated with genetically engineered material could increase the growth of malignant tumours upon contact with humans. Later, other studies suggested a link between engineered food and cancer.
3. It could raise new allergy outbreaks in humans.
It was found that a genetically engineered soya bean containing Brazilian nut protein was allergenic to humans and was withdrawn from production.
4. Under-Developed countries becoming more dependent on other communities.
This was raised when developing the golden rice, a genetically modified rice that contains larger amounts of vitamin A, which can be beneficial to poor people in developing countries. However, it is usually the large companies of the developed world that can produce such crop engineering which will increase the dependency of poor counties on the Wild, Wild West!
5. You are ‘not’ what you eat any more!
Genetic engineering allows introducing animal products in plants which could raise issues for those with dietary restrictions, like vegetarian or vegans.
6. It is un-natural way of producing food.
There will always be unknown long term effects to the ecosystem and biodiversity when inducing unnatural ways to change the natural traits of crops.
7. Adverse effects on the immune system.
A study in 2008 showed that feeding mice engineered food for 30 days caused an immune reaction and altered the number of cells that regulated the immune functions in the body.
8. Pesticide resistant food can create super-creatures!
It’s not a joke, modified genes in engineered crops that resist pesticides can transfer to insects and pests; making them pesticide resistant. These super-organisms cannot be controlled easily which will create problems in managing their numbers and to crop production in future.
9. Genetically modified products cannot be recalled.
Altered genes in engineered food will multiply through generations, passing with it any unknown damaging trait to the future population. It will be one product of a kind that can’t be recalled when a malfunction is discovered.
10. The effects of genetic food engineering could be irreversible.
All the disadvantages mentioned above are probably irreversible, especially the harmful effects on the environment and human health which is an inevitable outcome to the fast pace development of biotechnology and genetic engineering.Consuming the highest quality of nutrients is the best option for a healthy lifestyle that can even reverse the adverse effects already implemented by GM food. This may come from organic food as well as supreme supplements that provide quality nutrients and antioxidents in a convenient way for us to grab. One supplement formula that stands out and is backed with solid scientific data about its effect is Lifelixer® formulation; this supplement is the result of over a decade of research and development and it is patented in over 40 countries and provide premium blend of vitamin E, B complex, Zinc and silica. In addition it has the macronutrients your body strive for to build a competent immune system. These are reasons why so called idiots opposed to gm products

Rats and mice fed on GM food have developed enormous tumors, and had grotesquely deformed offspring. Do you really think that is a better alternative to starvation? You are welcome to eat it if you wish, but I don't think the starving millions should be used as guinea pigs. I certainly won't eat it!
