Are Phosphorous bombs are a Chemical weapon?

Phosphorous bombs were used by the invading US forces against the Iraqis who were defending Falujah

    Yes.. lot of reports say so.

    It is lethal also.

    Search for 'phosphorus bomb' on Google image.

    US and Israel are the main users of these weapons.

    Yes they are Though USA will like to say it does not use chemical weapons to show it is not evil as its paints countries like Syria for using chemical weapons. Phosphorous bobs were primarily used in Fallujah as for revenge by us for killing 2 contractors by some people in Fallujah. Fallujah was surrounded and any escape routes were blocked by USA forces before they used the bombs and thousands were burnt alive and died in Fallujah.

    I guess phosphorus is a chemical, but most of the time when people talk about chemical weapons they mean a gas. I think phosphorus is categorized as an incendiary.

    Yes and no. Technically it is a chemical weapon, but then again many things are such as explosives. It would be more of an incendiary like napalm. When people talk about chemical warfare they mean things like gases.

    no they are not. They are an incendiary weapon like napalm.
