what car should i drive at a track?
I bought a ticket to do 10 laps around a track (Cayuga motor speedway 3km version) and I got a bunch of cars to choose from. I can only drive automatic sine I am not fully comfortable with my skills on manual.
Anyways the cars I can choose from are
Ferrari F430
Ferrari 360 Spider F1
Audi R8 4.2 V8 (which I've already driven once but not on a track)
Nissan GT-R
Porsche 997 Turbo
I am not allowed to use launch control on any of the cars.
I get a free bonus lap if I pick the porsche.
I want to know which you would recommend and why. Please don't say stupid things like the r8 because it looks cool. I want legitimate reasons as to why one car would be better than another. This will be my first time pushing a car to its limits on a track so lap times are not important I just want the best experience.
I can only afford 10 laps be it 10 in one car or 5 in 2. Id really like to get the 10 in one car since i'd get more comfortable with it.

It depends on what YOU want to experience on the track. Let me break it down.
GTR and the 997 is for serious racing. Cars you would drive if you want fast lap times because they are designed to be road legal race cars. Both these cars have no character or emotion, they are purely built for speed and handling. And they will corner like no other car in the list.
Both the Ferraris are for pure fun. You would drive these cars for the sound of the engine, the rumble in your seats when you accelerate, and always have that fear if it will spin around the next corner. Ferraris have a character to them, they are built to give you a great adrenalin rush and will satisfy all your senses. These cars will not perform as good as the GTR or 997 when it comes to corners.
The Audi R8 is best of both worlds. You will get great performance and handling with all the sound and rumble. However, if you have already driven it I suggest you look at the other options to enjoy the variety of super cars.
In the end it is up to you, although I am a great fan of the GTR, my choice would be the F430 without thinking, it is one of the most beautiful cars to look at, to sit in, and just listen to when your accelerating.
Good luck!

The 997. Ironically, the 997 is a pure departure from the Porsche 911 Turbos of past. In the past, they were twitchy, nervous creations that took a talented driver to tame. Today, of that list, it's probably the most docile car and the easiest to drive fast.
After that, no question still, would be the F430. Another fantastic drivers car, but it would definitely take more focus to handle it, since it's a 2WD car.
Beyond that it doesn't really matter, but if I had to rank them...
360 Spyder F1
R8 V8
Nissan GT-R is last. Why? Who would want to drive a friggen gussied up $100k Sentra when there's Porsche's and Ferrari's around?!

f430 -> rear mid engine, rwd
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ferrari_F430
360 Spider F1 -> rear mid engine, rwd
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ferrari_360
Audi R8 road car -> rear mid engine, awd
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Audi_R8_%28road_car%2...
997 Turbo -> rear engine, rwd
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Porsche_997
997 turbo less likely provide similar experience as formula one car and indy car (rear engine rwd) because 997 turbo is rear mid engine rwd, not rear engine rwd
r8 road car is rear mid engine but awd, not rwd
gtr is front mid engine, awd, different feel from formula 1 car either
but somehow able to outperform many rear mid engine, rwd car such as 458 italia which has greater horsepower than gtr, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Top_Gear_test...
http://autos.aol.com/cars-Ferrari-458+Italia-2013/...
http://autos.aol.com/cars-Nissan-GT_R-2013/specs/
if i have lots of experience driving mid engine car then i would pick f430 because f430 is the most powerfull (has most horsepower) rear mid engine rwd car, google 'f430 aol spec' , most similar to f1 car indy car
if i have never driven mid engine car previously then i would pick 360 spider first in order to learn how to drive mid engine car because 360 spider is the weakest (has least horsepower) rear mid engine, rwd, google '360 spider aol spec', supposedly has the least chance of losing control like top gear stig driving Koenigsegg CCX without rear spoiler http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=svxRpqeqFRY end scene
turning off javascript prior clicking aol spec websites, should produce better layout
