How can I make a portable Bluetooth transmitter?
I need a kind of Bluetooth transmitter which I can leave outdoors (therefore needs to run on battery), it will need to transmit data to those who choose to use it.
I was inspired by a sign in my local city which sends tourist information to mobile phones. I want to make something similar. I was thinking along the lines of a Bluetooth transmitter connected to a USB stick to hold and send the files, and it will also need some sort of battery to run it. How could I achieve this? Thanks.

.bluetooth has a very short signal no more than about 6ft and you cant leave it outside on its own because it has to be plugged into a computer for tranfering files to and from
