1 AnswerHomework Help7 years agoCan anyone recommend any post-hardcore bands?
I'm pretty fussy:
- Not interested in high-pitched vocals like Pierce the Veil or Sleeping with Sirens
- Would rather it have more cleans vocals than screamed
Thank you!
7 AnswersRock and Pop7 years agoHelp with this trigonometry equation?
In attached file.
I got the answer correct, but the mark scheme also says 0, 180, and 360 are also solutions, whereas I only got 60 and 300. What am I doing wrong? Thanks.

10 AnswersPolls & Surveys7 years agoI need help with a vectors question?
A force of (3i + 5j) N and another of (-6i – j)N act on a particle. What additional force must be applied if the particle is to remain in equilibrium?
I have no idea how to answer this. Thanks.
3 AnswersMathematics7 years agoI need help with an AS maths question?
Solve the equation y^2 -7 y + 12 = 0
(The answers are y = 3 and y = 4)
Then, hence solve the equation x^4 - 7x^2 + 12 = 0
Thanks
1 AnswerHomework Help7 years agoI have a question about gravity?
If you were to somehow hollow out the Earth's core, and somehow stop the Earth from collapsing into the hole, and sit inside the core in a kind of vacuum bubble (I'm being careful not to say air bubble as you would feel the air pressure), would you be able to feel a force acting on you? What would happen to your body? Would you not feel anything as gravity acts towards the particles and not the Earth as a whole? Or would you feel something?
7 AnswersPhysics7 years agoI am always stressed - how can I stop this?
I always feel stressed out for no reason - even though I have no reason to be. I constantly feel stressed about college work (I started my AS levels a couple of months ago), but aside from that, I have no real reason to be stressed. I know people who have much worse problems than me, and are less stressed.
I have always been easily stressed out - in KS3 I got stressed about homework, in KS4 I got stressed about my GCSE exam & coursework, and now in KS5 I get stressed about my A-levels.
I often get chest pains where my heart is, and the occasional muscle spasm. My mother who works in a doctors' surgery asked about this and said that my symptoms are stress-related, and that I should stop being as stressed - but this feels impossible.
Does anyone know how to reduce stress levels (that do not involve medication)? Thanks.
3 AnswersMental Health8 years agoHelp with AS Physics question?
Please could you help me with this AS Level physics question:
A motorcycle passes through a green light at a speed of 15 m/s. At the same instant, a car accelerates from rest alongside the motorcycle. If the acceleration of the car is 3 m/s^2, find the distance after the traffic lights where the car & motorcyclist meet.
Thanks!
1 AnswerPhysics8 years agoDoes the number of each type of electron orbital remain the same for each energy level?
E.g. Are there always 3 p-orbitals per electron shell regardless of whether it is the first electron shell, third electron shell etc.?
2 AnswersChemistry8 years agoWhy do lights flicker/go out during a thunderstorm?
I was just thinking about thunderstorms and remembered this time a couple of years ago when I was at school. The lights randomly went out, then came back on a few seconds later. This was followed by a huge clap of thunder that scared everyone (I don't live in a very thunderstorm-prone area).
So why do thunderstorms affect electrics in such a way? I'd really like to know. Thanks.
1 AnswerWeather8 years agoHow can I deal with my younger brother?
Me and my younger brother have got on fine for our entire life, up until the last few months. Now he just seems to always go out of his way to cause conflict between us.
Let me explain: I'm 16 and he's 13 and a half, but he often acts like he's older than me: ridiculing me with smirks and cocky laughing at things I say, and just generally not paying attention when I ask him to do things, such as going out of my room.
Despite the age gap, I'm not much taller than him (I'm pretty short for a 16-year-old male), so he likes to cause arguments, as I am probably not as intimidating as an average 16-year-old. He also bosses me around, such as telling me not to do things such as stroking our dog, and sometimes hitting me if I don't listen to him (this usually results in me hitting him back, which I know is immature, but I just get so frustrated that I can't help myself).
My dad says I should just rise above it and that would make him realise that he is being childish, but this is really difficult as I just can't stand his cockiness lately. I really wish I had the same good relationship with my brother that I used to, can anyone suggest what I should do? Thanks.
7 AnswersFamily8 years agoWhich editing programme is best?
In terms of value for money, which of the following programmes is best for editing RAW photo files? I'm relatively new to photography, and am progressing onto RAW format. My choices are:
iPhoto - Already have it
Aperture - £54.99
Canon's Digital Photo Professional - Already have it
Adobe Photoshop CS2 - Now released as freeware
If you have any other suggestions, I would be interested to hear,
Thanks.

9 AnswersPolls & Surveys8 years agoHow can I make a portable Bluetooth transmitter?
I need a kind of Bluetooth transmitter which I can leave outdoors (therefore needs to run on battery), it will need to transmit data to those who choose to use it.
I was inspired by a sign in my local city which sends tourist information to mobile phones. I want to make something similar. I was thinking along the lines of a Bluetooth transmitter connected to a USB stick to hold and send the files, and it will also need some sort of battery to run it. How could I achieve this? Thanks.
