I need help with an AS maths question?

Solve the equation y^2 -7 y + 12 = 0

(The answers are y = 3 and y = 4)

Then, hence solve the equation x^4 - 7x^2 + 12 = 0

    Basically, let y = x^2 and thus y^2 =x^4

    Rearrange to find x --> x will equal to square root of y

    Therefore x = square root of 3 or square root of 4
