I would like to sharpen my skills with Microsoft's Office programs?

are there any places that offer it for free? Actually I would be interested in either a free site or a non free site. I just want to improve my ability with their words and excel programs.

Thank You.

Microsoft has a program for certification in Office programs- Microsoft Office Specialist. You can search on-line for the topics covered in each exam. You may not intend to be certified but this will give you a listing of the topic tested in each exam.

    Offer what for free?

If you're talking about the programs, you can go to SkyDrive and make use of the online versions:

The full programs are not free—anyone who says otherwise is trying to infect your computer and steal your personal data.

If you are talking about tutorials, there are plenty of sites that offer tips, videos, and maybe even testing.
