Must we wear hats to a church wedding?

I'm thinking about my daughter (12) and me.

Must both of us don headgear? And what's acceptable these days? Fascinators? Feathers? Large brimmed??? I have no idea.

Thanks in advance.

You don't have to. Many women do so, depending on how posh the wedding is, you might feel left out if every other woman is in a hat. I would not worry about your daughter but if you are concerned wear a fascinator.

No, there is no need whatsoever to wear a hat, especially since I get the impression you would rather not.

Even if it is a Catholic church, there is no compulsion on you these days to cover your head.

A lady should not enter church with her head uncovered as it is an insult and creates lustful thoughts in men. So wear both of you wear hats. Style immaterial.

    Matching ball caps.

What church is this anyway? Most Protestant denominations don't have this rule. If it is a mosque, then get out your burka.
