  • The Vamps at Hammersmith Apollo - best seats?

There are stalls and circle seats (which I've been told are upstairs). The groups going wants front row seats. Any advice? Don't mind paying extra.

    Thanks, B

  • Is Lord of the Flies OK for my 13 year old?

    I haven't read it.

I know it's about schoolboys but that doesn't always mean it's OK for youngsters? Anything gruesome I should know about?

    Thanks

  • How to follow Harry Potter?

My daughter's just re-read all the books and I'm not sure how to keep her reading after such dramatic stuff.

She's 13 and says she likes diaries. I've got her some of the 'My Story' works (Titanic one most recently). What's a good suggestion?

  • Advice for cooking quail?

Just bought four quail. Never cooked one before but all the recipes I see say remove the legs. Others say remove the legs and just cook the breast! There's little enough to a quail.

Is there a reason for this? And what's a lovely simple beginner's recipe?

    Thank you.

  • Party games for 13 year old's party?

My daughter's turning 13 later this year. I've looked online for suitable games - not too babyish, not too adult - but most seem for a huge groups of mixed sex teens.

There's likely to be only four or five close friends (all girls) at our home.

Has anyone experience of this? What worked?

    Thanks in advance.

  • Must we wear hats to a church wedding?

I'm thinking about my daughter (12) and me.

Must both of us don headgear? And what's acceptable these days? Fascinators? Feathers? Large brimmed??? I have no idea.

    Thanks in advance.

  • Airline keeps changing my flight time. What can I do?

I'm flying with Swiss. It's gone from an afternoon flight to an early evening flight.

I can't even see which travel organisation they belong to so I can seek advice. So what are my rights? Or do I have to accept any changes?

  • Bra for a 12 year old?

My daughter's got a couple of cotton bras - non-wired, non padded. She's telling me she'd like a moulded one to protect her breasts from tenderness. I'm just not sure. I've visited dozens of sites and every moulded bra looks is womanly, slightly padded, not appropriate and give that universally rounded shape.(She's a 30A)

I've pointed out that it will give a certain message to boys and even men and worry there's pressure because all the girls parents have bought their girls moulded ones. Is there anything in between the cotton ones she has and the awful moulded bras? I can't seem to find anything.

Some would consider me prudish and old-fashioned. I think I'm just aware that in most ways she's still a girl. Help!

  • A suitable wedding gift?

Wedding's in August. My husband's nephew, don't know them well, never met bride to be. Any ideas?

And are we to take the gift with us on the day??? Seems a bit impractical!

    Thanks all you experts.

  • What's worth buying in Warsaw?

Travelling there soon. Never been before. Wondering what I should look out for that I couldn't get here? For a 12 year old girl and adult male? Maybe even for me (adult female)! Not a stupidly big budget either.

  • Could the USA please vote with their hearts?

It would be disappointing for the rest of the world (most of it) if Barack didn't win.

The other guy is what we expect of America - smooth, suited and dishonest. You'd be disillusioned with him in a couple of years. Four year isn't much time for any leader anywhere to really see results in their plans.

I beg you all to continue with your honourable and right-thinking current leader. Don't be fickle or predictable. Surprise the world!

  • Head lice - good natural treatment?

I think my daughter (12) has head lice.

I know there are shampoos and chemicals to treat this. I've read they're quite harsh on the scalp and hair.

Is there something not so harsh that works? I've also read tea tree conditioner but do I need any specific brand? And how should any of these alternative treatments be used?

    Thanks

  • Horse riding in Mallorca - clothes?

Hi, I'm hoping to get on a horse while away. I don't ride and am wondering what to take.

It'll be hot out there so didn't really want to take jeans just for that one activity. Will leggings do? Can any horse riders advise? Also on other clothing I might need - footwear, jacket etc.

    I'd appreciate it.

(There didn't seem to be a more apt category than horse racing - sorry if it's misleading...)

  • Deodorant for a growing girl?

I don't want anything with anti-perspirant (they all seem to have this) and don't want perfume etc. I've been looking for something mild for my daughter's introduction to this.

    Can anyone advise?
