Bra for a 12 year old?

My daughter's got a couple of cotton bras - non-wired, non padded. She's telling me she'd like a moulded one to protect her breasts from tenderness. I'm just not sure. I've visited dozens of sites and every moulded bra looks is womanly, slightly padded, not appropriate and give that universally rounded shape.(She's a 30A)

I've pointed out that it will give a certain message to boys and even men and worry there's pressure because all the girls parents have bought their girls moulded ones. Is there anything in between the cotton ones she has and the awful moulded bras? I can't seem to find anything.

Some would consider me prudish and old-fashioned. I think I'm just aware that in most ways she's still a girl. Help!

My mother encouraged me to be wearing the type of bra you are describing. Not wired ones, just padded. Otherwise by the time she reaches her womanly years they will be saggy. They she may potentially consider surgery to put them into place. I surgest going into a store with her go get measured and buying a teenage padded bra. I totally understand your concerns with males but I genuinely do not think a padded bra will be sending those kind of signals.

She's at a stage where she dosent need one. The only thing a molded bra will do is enhange the shape of her breasts.

At 12 years old she dosent need to be worrying about them. Just leave her in cotton bras until she's older and needs the support from a more suitable bra.

If she is only a 30A, wait until she is a 32A or 30B, its not age its size. she is not big enough to wear that yet, it won't support her or be comfortable.

Let her grow up. I think it's worse seeing their nipples when it's cold. Let the girl have dignity through these challenging years.
