I'm doing a dexamethasone suppression test. Why do I feel so tired?
I am being tested for cushings therefore am doing a 3 day dex test. I have a pituitry tumor (small) and a small cyst. My normal levels of cortisol are nearing 1000 (blood test). Second day of steroids and I'm so tired, I need to nap a lot. Can't function without feeling cloudy, forgetful. I have these symptoms when not taking meds but this is far stronger. Does dexamethasone cause this side effect? I can't seem to find any straight forward info about the side effects.

High dose dex always makes people tired. Watch what you eat even though it is only 3 days. You'll be amazed how much weight goes on.
