What do proviruses and temperate viruses have in common?
The text book doesn't tell me anything about this. Also, I might as well learn something and ask for the differences too.

Temperate viruses are viruses which have the ability to exhibit a double life pattern. They could either exist in a latent state, a state in which they can insert their nucleic acid in the host's on genome till they become activated again to enter their lytic cycle. Proviruses on the other hand refer to the genome of the temperate phage being inserted into the genome of the host. In other words, Proviruses can also be called the lysogenic form of a temperate virus.
