How do I train myself to be more socially outgoing when I have Asperger's Syndrome?

I just finished Junior High and I'm going to High school after this summer. My "previous" life consisted mostly of either wasting time on playing video games or not doing anything productive, but now I've decided to make some changes in my lifestyle. I do have some friends, but when I'm with them I'm usually the quiet one, and when I'm meeting a friend with no-one else around, I usually never know what to talk to them about, and we end up getting bored, which is why I don't see the point of hanging out with friends anymore. Could anyone please give me some tips on how to train myself to be more social and how to make more friends?

Talk to yourself in the mirror. This actually works. I was socially awkward in Junior high, but in High school I started talking to people. If you like video games play online with your friends. That was how I got myself known. Also with social networks like Instagram and Vine. I hoped this helped!
