How to stop rabbits from eating sweet potato vine?

We live in Texas, and I am afraid the rabbits are winning this war. I have used several commercial animal repellents, as well as cayenne and garlic powder--and still, we find the rabbits are eating the leaves off the vine. Do you have any suggestions? Thanks!

I had rabbit problems with my garden so I put a 2ft wire fence around my garden and all is fixed. No more rabbit problem..

Mint might help they don't like that, but if you find anything it'd be great. I planted egg plants and discovered squirrels like them. Now I plant the little egg plants just to watch the squirrels juggle them around. sometimes I even get a big eggplant.
