Baseball pitching advice?

I am starting to get back into playing baseball again and will be pitching some this season. The problem is that the field we are playing on has a big hole right in my landing spot and it is just filled with loose dirt. This is a problem because I am losing my footing when I try to deliver the pitch and can not figure out what to do about it. any advice or suggestions would be great.

Just try to put dirt in the hole and just try to step on the dirt to make it harder.

Depending on the soil type there are tricks you can do ranging from packing the hole with mud and pounding the heck out of it to digging the area up and placing clay bricks just under the surface.

Bottom line is that whoever owns the field (school or park) probably doesn't have the means to do the job, so if you want it done you will to do it yourself and get permission to do so.

There are guides and some videos out there on line.. just search for "compacting pitching mound dirt" or something like that.

i might consider the guy who mentioned to %. up Chris youthful. he's been recuperating for the previous 2 years, pitches interior the main pitcher friendly park interior the league and can carry the warmth. he will positioned up ok's whilst bringing a sturdy era and WHIP. i might drop Gordon, he's ageing and not particularly as effective. Beckett may well be a competent decision, he gets wins, yet he pitches at Fenway, a serious hitters park, so his era will climb. It sounds like on your league there is a great number of pitching to pass around, so no might desire to stockpile Relievers. there is often going to be a servicable guy on the waiver cord, merely shop an eye fixed out if Rivera or Wagner pass on the DL.
