I think it's great that you want to be healthy, and yes, I understand some idiots out there can be real jerks when you are having an eating problem. First off, just remember that the most healthy way you can do this is when you go into it with a strong self esteem. I think, because you are only 13, trying to lose weight alone could be dangerous. I suggest telling your mom/dad/adult about it. You can ask them for help in serving you portions (when you do it yourself you may tend to go overboard) or timing shopping for some health meals. A food journal can help a lot, and if you have a bad day DO NOT beat yourself up over it. Start tomorrow, by telling an adult about the situation and planning your meals ahead of time, don't get bored and go for snacks, and if you plan on going somewhere where they serve food try to head for the best foods and smaller portions. Read the backs of boxes to learn about the nutrition in the foods. As for exercise, I suggest an hour a day of jogging (something you can do at home), swimming (something you can do and stay cooled off), sports (something fun), etc. Jogging is always a good choice, time yourself and make sure you push yourself. Day by day you will see improvement. Start weighing yourself in the mornings, maybe once a week and don't get frustrated with yourself if at first you're not losing. Hope this helps, and good luck! Don't give up!
