why are there so many people trying to disprove religion here?

i respect that everybody has an opinion, and everybody's different, but there are an overwhelming number of people trying to prove that religion is fake on the religion forum. thats not what people are here for, they just want the answers to their questions.

Update:

wow, im impressed with these answers, really shows the diversity of the people in this world and how strongly they hold what they believe. its a good feeling to know that some people still have a little courage to stand up for what they think is true.

Christians literally think I deserve to be tortured because I don't believe what they believe. Not just waterboarding or bamboo splinters under the fingernails for a few years, but eternal torture of the worst forms they can comprehend (even beyond what the laws of physics allow, actually), and they can't imagine a being more perfect than one that would condemn me to such torture. If they don't personally believe I deserve that type of torture for how I think, then they worship a being that they think doles out unjust punishments.

Not only do they believe I deserve torture, they have taken it as their mission in life to get as many other people to agree with them on this subject as they can.

Now explain to me again why you think I should ignore this type of deranged crusade that condones torturing people for nothing other than what they believe?

I find religions endlessly fascinating and I love learning more about them. While I'm here I might as well answer some questions. If the answer is that there is not God and prayer is useless then I can't really change that.

You hit the nail on the head when we sit with those people who have religions then all of us can exchange views on our believes but it happen you have one perform who do not believe in religion and he wants to express his view too, then we have to be patient and listen to him and exchange some views with him ,similar to this web board.

Don't worry we all are human fellows and try to use this YA. as a good example for creating a certain social gethering .

No one can disprove religion. Religions do exist. All of us know that. All that I want to say is that the religions are all futile.

Read the message of Jesus recorded in the 4 books of the Bible - Matthew, Mark, Luke and John. Jesus taught us about God, about God's kingdom (heaven), and about the way we can reach God's kingdom. Jesus taught us that only by joining hands with God and by doing what God wants us to do here on earth, we can reach God's kingdom.

    Religions can't you help you.

'It's now very common to hear people say, "I'm rather offended by that", as if that gives them certain rights. It's no more than a whine. It has no meaning, it has no purpose, it has no reason to be respected as a phrase. "I'm offended by that." Well, so f*cking what?' —Stephen Fry

-I contend that we are both atheists. I just believe in one fewer god than you do. When you understand why you dismiss all the other possible gods, you will understand why I dismiss yours.- Steven Roberts.

We're trying to enlighten the brainwashed sheep on the fact that religion is BS.

I would like to see this site used for spirituality rather than religion. Orthodox religion hinders progress. Why can't we all just stop being religious and start being spiritual?

You ask a question, I answer it. How you interpret my answer is your problem. Why, can your religion not stand up to a little scrutiny?
