What is a stronger hair "spiker" for curly hair?

I can't use anything wet in my hair, or else it will get all curly. Would it be better for me to use molding wax or molding clay? And what brands if you know?

I think beeswax will do. Its not wet and it won't make your hair super hard and crunchy. People use this when they lock dreads on curly hair. Hope this helps.
