If the NSA is for spying on "terrorist" and not on "civilians?

Question

Why is it that, the NSA has no idea where Snowden is at this moment, let alone the fact that Snowden was going to do this.

Also, why was it the government knew nothing about the boston bombs until it happened.

I love how all these *team democrats* are trying to defend this, yet when bush did it, they largely attacked him. And I agree. But why is it not okay for bush to do it, but okay for obama to do it.

It should and is wrong both ways, and by the looks of it, ineffective.

Sidenote: for anyone who disagrees, do you honesty not think that this system will be used for political assassination, character destruction and blackmail?

If you like it, I'm sure you would love 1984 and East Germany.

Snowden is at the airport in Moscow. Just read the article on the guardian's website. And you're right. Our phone records, phone calls, emails, etc are all being stored in a database where it can be accessed at anytime for whatever big brother wants to use it for. Land of the free...

thats the american way character of political assassination , black mail  and  destruction of a persons entire life unless they find a way to fight back if not too bad for them  they should have just shot them in the head would have been more merciful......they didnt catch  him cause he had money friends and a way to avoid  getting caught or maybe they didnt want to catch him or the Boston bombers  you will have to consult certain high up agencies there reasons for what they do and why are not clear to me it all fits in to something  like why i will probably die  lots of excuses but no one will really ever know the truth i never lived anyway the sooner the better and i dont wish to live this way besides they have civilians spying and ratting on each other thinking they are being good Americans so they dont need too even when they untrained and it puts innocent lives at risks
