Are people really so deluded about UKIP?
Nothing against UKIP, in fact I quite agree with them, but do all these "im voting UKIP" really really believe UKIP will win the 2015 GE? UKIP would need over 100% swing and im sorry it aint gonna happen.
Do you really think Nigel Farage will ever be PM?
Please stop kidding yourselves, a vote for UKIP is a vote for Labour, UKIP cannot and will not win the 2015 GE.

I agree, you've got to be deluded to believe any of this will ever happen. The only party that has ever come from nowhere to win a general election is Labour nearly a century ago, and they had the advantage of backing from all the trade unions so of course they were the natural vote of all union members - millions of them.
A few years ago, BNP were the anti-EU protest vote. Now, UKIP are the anti-EU protest vote. It's always the same - the British public doesn't take anything other than general elections seriously, so when 2015 comes along just watch them all scurry back to voting for the big three parties. A vote for UKIP is absolutely a vote for Labour by splitting the Conservatives.

UKIP have zero MPs. No party in British history has ever gone from 0 MPs to winning a General Election. So the chances are 0 for UKIP to win.
Firstly, if there is a constituency where UKIP could do well but Labour and the Tories are fighting it out, then UKIP supporters will vote Tory.
UKIP should be looking at getting one or two MPs if they are to progress. That might not even happen. They got 2.5 million votes at the EU election, one year later they got 900,000 votes at the General Election and not a single seat. That's also in an election where more people vote, their percentage of the vote dropped massively.
UKIP are at present a protest party. They don't have the policies to be attractive to run the govt.

Let's face it, the Conservatives didn't win the last election and the 'fat cat' conservatives that run the country are already gettiing muvh fatter..
I'm not sure it's a question of winning - more about making a point. UKIP did so well in the local elections beause there were prepared to address issues that the other parties shy away from. Why are the other parties so afraid of a referredum on Europe? We've never had one (there was an attempt back in 1975 but the vote was about the common market - nothing about being ruled and goverened by beurocrafts in some forein country).
The whole country should vote UKIP and let's, at least, see if we can get politicians that don't lie through their back teeth about everything and maybe even cancel the £1,000 per DAY rental contract that Cameron's wife's dad gets for renting his land to Cameron's gevernment for windmills.

I'm no fan of UKIP, but if you read their policies and actually agree with them - then that's who you should vote for.
Voting is about choosing who you *want* to govern you, not who you think will win the election. A vote for UKIP is a vote for UKIP. A vote for labour is a vote for labour.
My advice, vote for the party you want to win, and if you must - place a bet at the bookies on who you think will win.
One small caveat - just because you think the Lib/Lab/Con are crap (& fwiw, so do I), doesn't mean that UKIP or anybody else should automatically be trusted. Look at the policies of UKIP as objectively as you look at those of other parties.

A vote for UKIP is a vote for selling out to American big business - a little like turkeys voting for Christmas. People are so disillusioned with the three main political parties that they'll vote for anything. Fortunately we'll be saved by our undemocratic unrepresentative voting system. Even if UKIP get 25% of the vote, they'll only get around a dozen seats. On the other hand, Labour can get around 200 seats with 25% of the vote - and there are plenty of people who regard voting Labour as their tribal duty. The losers are likely to be the Lib-Dems who will get more votes and fewer seats.

No, people aren't deluded by UKIP, at least not all people. UKIP just lost there deposit in the Aberdeen Donside By Election for the Scottish Parliament. Only 4.83% of the electorate in the constituency voted for them....That's actually more than I would have expected.

People are deluded in more ways than one about UKIP. They moan about the Tories, yet seem prepared to vote for a right wing Tory party, which is what UKIP is. Farage even opened up an account to try and dodge tax and says now that it was a mistake because he wasn't rich enough to use it, as though that makes it o.k. As for their immigration policies, it appears the numbers they will allow in keep changing, going up and up. As for their tax policies, they will evidently leave an £120BN black hole, but Farage hasn't said what he will cut to fill this. As for their main policy on an EU referendum, Farage using figures to try and make people think the EU is mega expensive, it turns out it costs us around 0.5% of GDP, even lower than the 1% I thought it cost, this is because we get 0.5% of the original money back. Farage also appears to think it won't cost us any loss of jobs or business, I find that staggering. There are 2.5 million UK jobs reliant on EU trade in this country, does he really think that some companies won't just up sticks an move to an EU country if we pull out? Does he really think that the EU will still do as much trade with us as it does now, rather than with other member states? I don't think so, and neither do a lot of others. I personally think Farage is a prat, we have had Cam the Sham in power for a few years, God help us if we get Farage the fake having a say in how the countries run.

Well if everyone thinks like you they won't win, just vote for the party you like or it's pointless voting.
If I wasn't voting for ukip I'd be voting labour so am happy either way

Now Nigel has been exposed for using off shore tax havens to avoid tax and UKIP,s manifesto shows they want to give the rich a massive tax cut ,they have no chance. They are even more greedy than the rest .

I doubt any UKIP supporters would expect them to win. The hope would be that no party can form a majority, and that UKIP and the Tories will together form a government.
God, the thought of Farage having actual power... Makes my skin crawl. Imagine how much the UK's standing would go down in the international community, having a blubbering **** like Farage at the helm. *shudder*
