installing programs on flash drive?

I don't own a computer, and do most of my computer work at the library. I managed to install a few programs into a micro sd card before (video game emulators, and file extractors) and they run without having to install them. However, some programs need to be installed, which is bad for me, since I don't have administrator privilegess. Is there any way to install programs directly to a flash drive? Thanks in advance.

In general that doesn't work because Windows software installations will update the system registry on the main/boot drive of a computer whenever they are installed (even to a different drive). That registry information is required for them to run properly. So you can only run programs from that flash drive on computers that you've run the installation on before (choosing your flash drive as the destination), it won't work for computers you haven't installed on previously.

That said, there are some portable apps you can look into.

If you don't have admin priv, you can't install. Either way, installing programs on a SD drive is a bad idea because programs these days put their installation and some process information on the registry of the local machine (the machine you did installation). So if your purpose is to take the SD drive and move it from machine to machine, chances are that those programs you have installed are likely not going to work.

An additional way of achieving what you wish is to look at faraway access to your development computer. You are able to do that through far off desktop (to be had on higher finish types of home windows), Go To My computer (a paid carrier from Citrix) or Mesh (a free Beta from Microsoft). This is able to require you to go away your pc powered up (or have an answer for powering it up remotely) and an web connection the place you're working, however gives you your entire development environment and code while away.
