Im doing practice problems to help with an exam, and I ran across "f(x)=-5" and Im supposed to solve using functions like "f(2)."

I know how to solve a function, but how can you solve a function with no variable?

Basically, my tablet has a feature where you can reboot the system by holding the power button and the up volume key. I dropped it, and now the up volume key is stuck. Every time I try to turn my device on, it goes into the safe mode. There's no option in the safe mode to bypass it, just factory reset or data wipe. How can I fix this?

I want to play ff2, the one released in japan, in English. I had one on my old virgin mobile phone, but I can't find one for my . The one on the android is in Japanese. Anyone know of an English version? I'd rather have an official version ( I'd even pay for it), but I'll take a hacked version on an emulator if I must.

I don't own a computer, and do most of my computer work at the library. I managed to install a few programs into a micro sd card before (video game emulators, and file extractors) and they run without having to install them. However, some programs need to be installed, which is bad for me, since I don't have administrator privilegess. Is there any way to install programs directly to a flash drive? Thanks in advance.

I brought an mp3 player the other day, the eclipse 8.0 touch. Plays music just fine, and the box says that it plays videos,HOWEVER:

1) when I convert videos to avi (the recommended format) it wouldn't play. I also tried FLV (the other reccomended format).

2) It will play the video on 3gp videos, but not the sound.

3) I downloaded that 5 second "dramatic chimpmunk" video for a test (in 3gp), and it plays just fine. The video and sound work. But trying to download a two minute music video wouldn't work in the same format.

Anyone know what they hecks going on? Thanks in advance.

I'm on a library computer right now, and everytime I try to download this podcast, it goes right to the media player. The old media player let me copy a song, but the new one doesn't. Does anyone know how to fix this?

I just got an sd memory card and usb stick for my netbook ( a delstar ds700 if it helps) and i just wanted to know what to do next. I plugged them both into my computer, and nothing happened.

Granted, a netbook is a netbook( and this computer is always giving me problems) but i thought that it could at least transfer a document.

Am I doing something wrong?

Im gonna try not to whine too much here. i brought that nova game for my rumor touch under the virgin mobile plan. it was an ok game, about 5 levels 1 boss.but when i saw the mobile gameloft trailer, it looked unbelivable! it was very different from the version that i got. it almost looked on par with a gamboy game. why isn't the version i got as good? (i wanted to buy assisians creed revelations for mobile, but if its not the same as the youtube trailer, i don't want it).

Im waaay behind on my wrestling, all the back to the cm punk/triple H fued. I saw some highlights of the ppv, and every match looks good.

Should i buy the dvd?

Ok, so I downloaded sonic 2 on my lg rumor touch (virgin mobile plan) and the game was pretty fun. Levels ran smooth, it was fine.

I get to act one of the mystic cave zone, and complete it all the way up to the eggman sign, but then the sign won't turn.

The sign is like halfway accross the screen, and the screen won't move.

Has this happened to anyone else?

Ok, i have a new phone( lg rumor touch) and it has an email app that will let me use aim. I forgot my username and password though. I want to just sign up for a new one on my phone, but for some reason it won't let me ( i tried opera mini and the regular browser). My phone is the only way i get the internet right now, so is there any way to sign up for a new account on my phone?

I graduated high school a few months ago, and got accepted into a good college. I have like $13,000 in grants and tuition's, and im I've already decided that I want to go. But unfortunately, I can't pay the $450 entrance fee. I've tried getting a job, but no ones called me back yet, and i've already talked with the college, and they've said that I can't pay it later. I have until August 29th, which is only a week away.

Does anyone know of any programs or grants that would help me pay this(epically in the Connecticut area)?

When is it not ok to talk to someone?

Do you have to know them before hand?

If they're just sitting around, and your just sitting around, is it ok to talk then?

Lets say you meet a friend or two in the hall way. You don't talk that much, but you say hello. Then once class is over, you see them again, and you may see them a third time.

When ever I say hi to someone a second time (especially a girl) I feel awkward, but if I don't say hi to them, I feel like I'm being rude. What's the rule here?

I know that the Jesus said to turn the other cheek, and I remember him saying that if someone was mean to you, you should be nice to them, and that will heap coals of fire on their head. And I also remember a scripture saying that God is the one who will avenge you, and you shouldn't do it yourself.

But if someone is making fun of you, or picking on you( not serious, just like high school stuff) would you defending yourself, either physically or verbally, be disobeying these scriptures?

when I go on the anime news sites, all I see are DVD releases, no new series.Anime was popular for a while, but did it slip away from the mainstream again?

I missed the attitude era, and so missed the whole "Ministry of darkness" stuff, but I saw a few clips.

The best one for me is when he pulled that guy(forgot who it was) through the bottom of ring.

Every time a retired wrestler makes an appearance, they get beat up.Well, almost every time.

I know that they have to push the new guys and make the heels look super "evil" and stuff, but can't they do it in some other way already?

It's at the point where I'm not even shocked anymore, because I can see it coming from a mile away.
