My dog and being neutered?

I just adopted a dog from the pound. They said he is 4. They gave me the papers to get him neutered but on his cage when he was in the pound it said he already was. I can't tell if he has 1 ball or if its that little sack that's always there after dogs are neutered. If he only has 1 testicle and he's already 4 yrs old are their any health issues he might already have? He's a Rottweiler pure bred. Thank you!!!

My dog was neutered and all the remains is the sack..If that dog is not neutered, I don't see any health issues being involved. As far as personality goes on a dog that hasnt been fixed at that age, he's dead set in his ways and fixing him wont change it. I'm not a vet but I'm sure he'll be perfectly fine!

All pounds and rescue centers spay and neuter their dogs. I highly doubt a Spay and Neuter Center would cut off one testicle. I bet it's just a little bump from the surgery but I would still suggest taking him to a vet in case it's something more. Also a 4 year old Rottweiler is not old. the way you worded your sentence makes it seem like you think that is but it's not. Rottweilers live to be 9-10 years

A dog in a shelter at that age should already be neutered. Next time you take him to the vet ask anyway, but it sounds like he is.
