Favorite heist films?

I'm watching Ocean's Eleven (1960) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ppVby97BNiw which is infinitely better than the Clooney version.

List some heist movies and feel free to say why you like them if you want.

BQ: Favorite member of the Rat Pack?

BQ2: Ever been to Vegas?

BQ3: What would you like to liberate in a heist?

Update:

@Mucky...Hey, Mucky. A Good Evening to you, sir.

Update 2:

@d.d......Le Circle Rouge is one of my favorite movies. I have the Criterion on DVD

    Hi Simone!

    Gotta be Steve McQueen!

The Thomas Crown Affair. In this film Steve McQueen played against his usual self as he was always cast ( he plays a smooth dressed banker ) . A man, he has everything but; he's bored stiff. To relieve his boredom, he sets himself a challenge. He sets out to rob a bank.

For me, its fast paced film. Tongue in cheek humour and the sheer audacity of this man, to rob a major bank. Added to that, he also manages to have fun with Faye Dunaway ( an Insurance Specialist ) and laugh further at the Establishment, popping 'em the finger.

The Getaway. A really good rugged story from a Jim Thompson thriller. A completely amoral film throughout, Steve McQueen at his best. Remake with Pierce Brosnan was quite good too.

    B.Q. Frank Sinatra.

B.Q.2. Never. Would like to visit one day.

B.Q.3. A Mark Rothko painting from a major art gallery in Texas.

    Source(s): Music lover, good luck!
  • ~ Le Circle Rouge - I bought this Criterion version of the film. Although it has one scene with some shabby editing, its a very entertaining film

    BQ - Dean Martin

BQ2 - I haven't been there yet. I think I'd like to drive through the main strip at night with the lights blazing

BQ3 - I would probably liberate something from a museum over taking money from a bank. Some historic artifact that I find fascinating.

''Kelly's Heroes.'' Two words: Clint Eastwood. The update ''Three Kings'' isn't bad either, despite the presence of George Clooney.

    BQ- None, really.

    BQ2- Once, briefly.

BQ3- Some guns from a police station evidence locker.

Does "The Sting" count as a heist film? I guess it's more of a con film. So I'll say "The Italian Job"; the original, with Michael Caine.
