BA in Economics then MS Finance?

Is it possible to get an MS Finance after a bachelors in Economics, or is it required that you major in finance first?

Thanks.

Economics and finance share some related concepts. So they are related subjects with some things that cross over between them. And yes, you can get an undergrad in one and a graduate degree in the other.

In my case, I majored in econ as an undergrad. Then got my masters in finance. But there are others who do the reverse.

Nope, it is not required to major in finance first, actually it is preferred for an econ major to get a MS in finance :D. They are similar fields, so you can switch easily.

both will share some classes,,the other that makes those majors similar is that you probably cant find a real job in it unless you can say you have 3-5 years experience, you got experience?
