Can I get a puppy and a kitten?

If so, how am i gonna be able to manage that? I am really a cat person, but I'd also like a cute playful puppy. Im planning to buy a husky and a persian cat(Or maybe a different cat) and be a good owner and let them grow together. (Its not my first time to own a pet, so I have experience of being a/n owner) thank you in advance.

That sounds lovely and correct to me, introduce the two to each other and they will settle, I would'nt get a Persian if I was you as they need brushing every day if not their hairs matt and they get small abcesses on the skin. You have to be really dedicated to own a Persian. the kitten's easy all it needs is a litter tray and food and water, the pup has to be injected and taken for walks , it must learn routines and you have to be very patient with the pup. I wish you well with your new companions. I love Huskys but don't forget it's a working dog so lots of excercise please.

Forget the husky. They are famous cat-killers, and even if the two got along great at first, you'd never know if one day you might come home to find pieces of cat all over your home.

Also, I suggest you get an older kitten/young adult cat that has been raised with dogs, since a young kitten would be easily injured by a rambunctious puppy.

Keep in mind that even if raised together, there is no guarantee they will be buddies. The relationship is pretty much up to the cat. I've had cats that wanted nothing to do with my dogs, cats that have politely tolerated my dogs, and cats that absolutely adored my dogs. From my personal observation, a gentle dog is liked much better than one who thinks cats are living squeaky toys...cats like to be in control....

Also make sure the cat has an escape route if he needs it (cat tree, furniture he can get under but puppy can't, etc.) If he's cornered and forced to turn and fight, your puppy might lose an eye....

Huskies are known to be cat aggressive. So are Jack Russell terriers and most other terriers. Persians need to be combed EVERY day (sometimes more then once a day) for life.

I would reconsider both and pick something a lot different.

A husky? You're aware of the prey drive right? And that they aren't for novice dog owners? And they require 3-4 hours of exercise daily.

my cat and dog got along very well but it all depends. my advice get the puppy or kitten then go to an animal shelter and see if the cat gets along with the dog. its all getting them used to each other.

Some dogs and cats...Well when they are puppies and kittens and they grow up with each other they tend to like each other. I'm sure they will love each other :)
