Now that Snowden has applied for asylum in Russia, do you still think he's a hero?

Typically, true patriots of the United States don't hide out in RUSSIA!

regardless of where he applies for asylum he did something that was right and were punished for it. therefore earning some of my favor. however i am skeptical as to why he did it - after all people very rarely do stuff just because it is the right thing to do.

I am afraid there are no heroes in this world it is all blurry grey area filled with people doing vaguely positive and negative things just to help themselves.

Regarding Russia - i suspect he hopes russia will not hand him over to usa because of some leftover resentment from cold war. I am pretty sure he is wrong tho.

If he released any information in the US nobody would be hearing about this in the mainstream media. Besides Putin just wants Edward out because he is business partners with the US but he also doesn't want to go against the wishes of his citizens who think Snowden is a hero. Jillian Assange is most likely going to help hide him and try to get him to Ecuador.

Snowden has few options. I am disgusted that the tyrannical dictator Putin gets points for this.

Considering O has him convicted here, Snowden has to do whatever necessary to keep himself alive.

It's great that he let us know that the US was spying on it's own people for no reason but he lost me when he went to China and Russia.

Never thought he was.

Good riddance to the traitor.

Hope he enjoys life in Russia.

You can bet he'll not get any kind of government job that requires a security clearance in Russia.

He's a hero no matter where he needs to get protection from Big Brother.
