Do we now have proof that it's us "little people" who will suffer under OBAMATAX?

http://www.fool.com/investing/general/2013/07/03/i...

The article indicates that businesses have already started cutting their workforces and the hours employees will be working so they won't have to comply with the mandate. Notice that the article says business owners won't have to pay into health care premiums, but if an employee's health care premiums take up 9.5% of the employee's gross pay -- or more -- business owners will have to pay a penalty of $2,000.00 to $3,000.00 per employee. The goal of any business is to make money, so why would any business owner be willing to p!$$ away at least $2,000.00 a head?

Notice also that the implementation of OBAMATAX for mid-to-large-sized companies has been delayed until January 1, 2015, but the individual mandate still goes into effect on January 1, 2014. That means those of us in the "working class" who don't have insurance right now can either pay out of our own pockets for a whole year -- and pay whatever the health care companies care to charge -- or pay a penalty to Uncle Sam. How is that in any way FAIR to the people Obama claims to represent? How can anyone honestly say the hard-working middle-class isn't getting screwed here?

And people wonder why the Dems passed the so-called "Affordable Care Act" in the middle of the night with no open discussion or "transparency" that was promised by Obama...

Update:

Zombie -- I have a real job and have health insurance, thank you very much. I don't take kindly to a dictator that says "You WILL have health insurance or you WILL pay," I don't take kindly to my tax dollars being wasted on people who are perfectly able to work but choose not to, and I don't take kindly to a government that obviously delayed the full implementation of OBAMATAX until after the 2014 elections purely as a political tactic -- Once again, FAIL

Obama and Progressives only care about thier agenda not the health of its citizens.

You realize that Obama care is really about restricting heath coverage to people not access don't you?

Insurers can be sued. Government cannot. Insurers wanted the HHS to be able to say that no you are not eligable for treatments that insurers would have been sued by individuals to have covered. That is why insurers are laughing all the way to the bank with a 15% return. The more money they suck out of you the more they make. Obamacare does nothing to limit them.

Considering what you're describing will only effect larger companies.

Consider the fact that over 96% of all US businesses have fewer than 50 employees the impact to business will be marginal. The amount of middle class workers effected will be very small.

I work for a company with under 50 employees. Our owner, since he offers health insurance to his employees, will receive a 35% tax break under Obamacare (and that goes to 50% in 2016).

He has already told us that once that 35% tax break hits he is going to pass a portion of that savings to him onto us. Thus lowering the health care premiums we are now paying.

For a moment, I thought you were talking about Voter IDs (Poll Tax) which is a lot more that the so called "Obamatax".

If you don't even want to attempt to buy health insurance, it is up to you. Hospitals still need to get paid, when you get sick or are in an accident.

We "little people" will suffer no matter who is president or who our local gov't is. Did you know you pay more in taxes if you're single? Did you know that a flat tax would benefit the rich and hurt the poor? Did you know that new voter laws are designed to keep an elite class of individuals in power? The Affordable Care Act is really peanuts compared to what both parties have coming down the line.

In other words, we're about to be the next Germany pre-1933....

  • I thought cons weren't lazy and all already had health care?

why don't you get off the couch, get a real job and health insurance... as cons say?

this is the con answer whenever I ask about... any issues the poor/working class have...

the simple fact is... this system will give the working class more options to buy, like the exchanges, and offer help to those who make under $80k last I heard... which is well over what most consider "working class"

they had debates on it for A YEAR... actual public forums... what do you want? what plan that the GOP has passed had that much review?
