Completely different cultures..
In China, being a good student is ingrained in their minds as children. Then they are expected to support their parents in old age..
In America, we really don't give a damn while learning.. All we are told is that you have to grow up and be successful. Then likely dump your old parents off at a nursing home..

Chinese education goes back to 16th century BC. The teachers are regarded as higher sociality, since they are teaching an important thing to the ones who don't have knowledge about it.
