I am currently working to become a secondary level science teacher through UTeach at UT. However, I am discouraged by the low salary and just the general lack of respect for teachers. I think I am doing pretty good at student teaching (also has good evaluations) and I actually enjoy teaching but I don't know anymore. Maybe I should go back and get a BS in engineering for a higher paying more stable job? What do you think?

If you're a woman, would you consider dating a teacher? Why?

I know that engineering degrees are always in demand and useful. But how about people who do engineering technology 4 year degrees? Can they actually find job as a technologists?

Do women date teachers knowing that he makes only 40-50k a year? Assume that this male teacher has a very nice personality and is passionate about his job.

I'm Taiwanese American and I want to be a teacher. But everytime I tell an Asian American friend or an Asian parent that, they always say "But they (teachers) ONLY make like 40k a year." Even my own parents tell me that.

That makes me not want to be a teacher anymore because they are all engineers, doctors, or comp sci people who makes over 100k or will make over 100k. =( I just want to do something I will love.

I am almost a year out of IET and drilling with my unit. I am E-3 with secret clearance and qualified in my current MOS 37F. I am wondering how long I have to be into my 6 years contract until I can reclass (specifically to 35P)? Thank you.

Aside from teaching English. I have a BA in Biology from an American university. Fluent in both languages.

It always wants to escape its cage. And it bites on the cage all night long. It really wants to get out. Should I just let it out in the woods behind my house?

I've seen so many questions about it. I assume most are just kids though. But why would anyone want to move to a foreign country and fight for foreigners they don't even know? Do people glorify FFL or something?

I'm a reservist and just finished training so I'm a newbie PFC. Our LTC came to talk to us a while back saying how we probably won't go to Afghanistan since it's not our rotation next year and that 2014 will pretty much be the end of that. So where else can I, as a psyop specialist (MOS 37F) get deployed to? Some say Philipines or Horn of Africa but active special operations guys are the ones going there. Does that mean I won't get deployed in my 6 years? =(

I'm 21 and I want an AR-15 and a pistol. What do I have to do? I have no criminal background. I'm also an Army Reservist. Do I just apply and pay for a license? Where would I do that at? Thank you.

Like in a stereotypical sense? Do they usually find Taiwanese American men more attractive?

I am seriously considering going EMT-B then Paramedic route after I get my BA in Biology at University of Texas - Austin in 2 years.

Would I be able to get credit for a lot of classes in EMT-B and later Paramedic courses? Because I have taken or is taking quite a few A&P classes. Of course if I have to take IV courses or other A&P courses later on, it'll be good reinforcement.

The one thing I'm curious about is whether or not a bio degree will give me an edge over other EMT's without one when applying for jobs? Thank you.

If I don't want to go to grad school? Can't get into nursing, med, PA school due to sub-3.0 GPA. Should I get EMT certification? What can I do from there?

I'm scared =( Please help.

Do you have to have a BA in English Language? Or do you just need an undergrad degree from the US? I have heard that schools and tutoring agencies in Taiwan do not like to hire Asian Americans to teach ESL just because we LOOK non-American despite fluent English skills.So as a completely billingual Taiwanese American, will I have a hard time finding ESL teaching position in Taiwan?
