Ditto to what Jay Bee says. I'd add that the navy was twenty years forward of the civil rights movement in the united states. That being mentioned, there will perpetually be racism as long as individuals continue to teach it to their children and the military is only a microcosm of yank society. For my part...Although admittedly not a good measure, the service with the least quantity of minority common officers in ratio to complete number of troops is more often than not essentially the most racists in "consider". I'm not certain who has the least, the marines or the navy, however does that make them the most racist? Then by way of the intent I simply submitted, the army stands out as the least racist (Colin Powell or "Kip" Ward come to intellect). So utilizing that as an unscientific rule of thumb, you must be in the quality form racially within the navy. Alternatively, you are going within the reserves...Which is a little specific than full time army and exact "elements" have extra possibility to slide via the cracks.

As long as they are doing their job and serving our country and is loyal to this country then who cares what race or country they are from!! I don't say I am from SK most of the timeI tell people I am from the Midwest and I am an American, I love this country more!!

Are you a racist? What does his ethnic background have to do with it?
He is American and a Soldier and anything else about him is moot.
