Yahoo has already solved for this type of question. --> http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=201004...
Indonesia is the only Muslim majority country where Islamic political parties have failed to win the general election. In North African and the Middle Eastern countries, democracy always gives Islamic political parties victory.
Indonesia is an interesting case for anyone to study the interplay between Islam and democracy. In the wake of Islamic resurgence and the growing democratic movements in North Africa and the Middle East, the question whether Muslim countries are going to be more Islamized or secularized becomes increasingly important.
Mam made laws for the convenient of monarchs & fundamentalist do not allow democracy in Muslims countries.

The Koran says that their is no Ruler ship except by Allah alone & that ruler ship should be based on God's commandments.{1}
On the other hand it also says that their is no compulsion in religion {2}, that the prophet's role is not to coerce anyone into religion {3} that a Muslim leader and Muslims as a whole should do their actions after consultation within each other (even the Prophet Mohammed) {4} & that the fate of any group relies on their own actions (actions that define the general population, thus underlying the important responsibility of each Muslim member in a Muslim community in determining the community's fate as whole) {5}
So to bring these two together one has to say that based on the Koran the only legitimate government is one based on God's will. On the other hand we can also conclude that the Koran believes this should be done only when it is accompanied with the general public's acceptance & assistance. There are also matters which do not have any direct link to religious laws and the Muslims public should play a role in creating those policies {4&5}. This can be equated to a general idea of democracy.
When some people say that Islam is essentially against democracy, they probably mean against a "liberal (as in secular) democracy". This is true. Secularism is against the Quran & the sunnah of the prophet & the beliefs of most Muslims. So having a secular democracy in majority Muslim populated countries would be quite dogmatic & dictatorial.{6} On the other hand based on the ayahs brought above it would be wrong for a Muslim to want to FORCE a democratically secular government to change.
If one closely studies the life of prophet Muhammed closely, he will see that all wars in his time were in self defense & for the spiritual & physical security of his followers & his truthfull message. In other terms he never waged war just on the basis of contradicting beliefs{7}, but aways because of some sort of treaty being broken, life being endangered or a legitimate right being denied. {8}
Peace!

Actually what the world is using as their political system of democracy is not the real democracy because as some say it is the least evils of all political systems used in the world.
Then if any one study carefully ,one will see that Islam is the real democracy of the political system in its true sense.

No matter what the majority of the MUSLIMS ARE following the Koran even though they rarely understand . every one of them taking the KORAN the way they love to go. so it is very much difficult to poor muslims to get their rights and by force they are a kind of slave to their MULLAHS and their landlords. about women ...i was watching the show from pakistan (khara such at ary news 4th july 2013) where they have right to beat the women and also produce the kids without the marriage and do not need to ask their true wife to go for it.
sorry if they will take your question away. sorry .
BUT thanks for your kind answer for my last question ever on yahoo site. thanks.

Insofar that democracy is "not approved or recommended" in any religious scriptures, including the Bible, yes, that would be true.
