Christians: What is the Plan of God?

As a Christian we are responsible to be able to give an answer about our faith to anyone who asks. This is a very basic question, but I think there will be a variety of answers.

The proper answer needs to address the following questions.

1) Did God know Adam was going to sin before He created him?

2) What exactly did Jesus' ransom cover?

3) What is God's plan for the following groups:

a) The Christian

b) The Jew

c) The whole world of mankind

4) What is the purpose of the KIngdom which we pray for?

Thanks

    1) Did God know Adam was going to sin before He created him?

I have studied the Bible message for some years and conclude that God knew what would happen.

But this does not detract from the fact that each one of us has freewill.

God’s aim at creation was to have people who freely and gratefully responded to the wonderful place He had provided for them to live in.

When you look at the overall picture set out between the books of Genesis and Revelation. It becomes obvious that God sees the past and the future events that take place on this planet.

The best way I have heard it described is to consider along wall, with Creation at one end and God’s kingdom at the other. God is able to view all the events, past, present and future.

    2) What exactly did Jesus' ransom cover?

When Adam and Eve disobeyed God’s instruction not to eat of the fruit of the tree, as an acknowledgment of their failings God instituted animal sacrifice, thereby in type showing that they understood their relationship with God. Over the next 4000 years or so God made many attempts to provide a means of reconciliation between Himself and mankind. Finally God sent His only begotten son to establish one final means of reconciliation.

The principle behind this can be seen in the parable that Jesus told and is recorded in Matthew 21:33-41

    3) What is God's plan for the following groups:

    a) The Christian

    b) The Jew

    c) The whole world of mankind

God’s overall plan is to in the future set up His kingdom on earth with Jesus as its king.

All those who have heard, and responded to, God’s numerous offers of reconciliation since creation. No matter what their nationality they will be raised from the dead at the resurrection when Jesus returns.

    4) What is the purpose of the KIngdom which we pray for?

That the faithful may live in a place describe in Isaiah 11:1-10 and Isaiah 35.

That the things planned from the beginning may come to pass.

These are summed up in the following word spoken by God.

    Numbers 14:21 KJV

21 But as truly as I live, all the earth shall be filled with the glory of the LORD.

    .

    Ok - a proper answer!

    1. We are not told this but probably so, however we are told that God knows the end from the beginning. Unless God was to make man as an automaton he had to have free will, so hence Adam disobeyed Him.

    2. Jesus gave himself a ransom for all but with conditions, that we should have faith and be obedient.

    3. Anyone who turns to God in obedience and faith can be saved if they trust in His inspired word in the Scriptures. Zechariah tells us that the Jews will realise at long last that Jesus is their Messiah when he returns. So Jews, Christians and any others willing to accept Jesus as the son of God when he returns may be saved.

    4. That the earth may be full of the glory of God as was intended in His plan from the beginning.

God didn't know Adam would sin, as he doesn't choose to know the outcome of every situation.

Jesus gave his perfect life to cover what Adam (also perfect) lost for us.

Ps 37:9-11 says that righteous people will live forever on the earth and wicked will perish. To be considered righteous one must take in accurate knowledge of Jesus and God (John 17:3) and conform our lives to it. One cannot keep their own interpretations, if it doesn't line up with what the Bible says is true.

The Kingdom will involve the establishment of "new heavens" and a "new earth." The new heavens aren't the literal heavens, but the word symbolizes new rulership. That word is used in the Bible that way.

The "new earth" would be a transformed earth. Ps 37:9-11; 29.

A kingdom is a government. Many say: "The kingdom is in your heart." It doesn't mean that and this can be proven, but that is for another time. But as I was saying, a kingdom is a rulership. The Bible says that Jesus will be the king of this kingdom and does say that there will be some people "bought from the earth" to be co-rulers in heaven with him. Re 14:3.

Think about how many times people have said the Lord's Prayer and don't even think about the meaning of the words. They don't even know what they are praying for.

Im gunna be honest... I dont know the answer to all your question, only 1, 3c, and 4, so ill tell you what I know, but please dont hang off of my words, I havnt read a bible since I was 9, im 16 now...

    But anyway:

I believe that god DID know he was going to sin before he created him, infact, im pretty sure god knew how the entire world was gunna be played out from the start to the very end, because in the movie (I really dont like reading books), Jesus said he is the "messiah", the beginning and the end, therefore, he will be the start of the world, and the end of it

So, yeah, god did know that Adam was gunna sin, so: Why go through the trouble of forming us if he already knows what where gunna do before we even know it?

Like my parents told me: Why not just build robots?

He wants us all to be able to have the full control over what we do, and our decisions, if it was his decision to eat the apple, and go in the garden, then let it be so. Otherwise, god could have just programmed him or physically forced him not to do so, he could have put a mountain to block the way, as a physical limiting boundary, he chose not to.

I think his plan, is to raise us all as our own, and help us through difficult times in our lives, but as one spiritual artist once said "God wants to help you, but only if you are willing to accept his help"

The purpose on why we pray? (Again, havnt read a bible in a while, by kingdom I assume you refer to heaven?)

I think the purpose of why we pray is to stay connected to god, to have a personal connection with him in our own way, and reach to him personally.

The reason why we pray for "the kingdom", is the same reason

Again, honestly, thats about all I can recall, I hope something I said could have had some help?

Not an expert on this, but that is what I know

    1) Did God know Adam was going to sin before He created him?

NO. God only discerns the heart of man once he made a decision. So it's not true that God knows everything. I Chrionicle 28:9

And thou, Solomon my son, know thou the God of thy father, and serve him with a perfect heart and with a willing mind: for the LORD searcheth all hearts, and understandeth all the imaginations of the thoughts

    2) What exactly did Jesus' ransom cover? I Tim 2:6

    5

    For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;

6 Who gave himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time.

    3) What is God's plan for the following groups:

    a) The Christian

    b) The Jew

    c) The whole world of mankind

God's doesn't want to have divisions anymore among men. God wants them to exist as ONE with God.

EPHESIANS 2:19 So now you Gentiles are no longer strangers and foreigners. You are citizens along with all of God's holy people. You are members of God's family.

    4) What is the purpose of the KIngdom which we pray for?

Everlasting life with God. And this is His promise:

Revelation 21:4 And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.

    1) No God did not know. God put the tree of life in the center of the garden, (Gen2:9) Eve saw the tree of knowledge as the center of the garden and she lied God never said they could not touch it.He said do not eat (Gen3:3)

2)Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world (John 1:29) But not all will accept that, some will reject it choosing to pay for their own sins.

3 a-b-c) Romans 2:9 God's plan is to bless the christians to the point it drives the Jews to jealousy. Every christian knows you can not have a love for God and hate Israel and it's people. The Jews have always been God's people even while scattered to the four corners of the earth.

    4) Luke11:2 God's will on earth can not be done unless we ask for it. Why? Satan is the God of this world until judgement since the fall of Adam even though he is defeated by the Risen Savior.(2Cor4:4) God forces his will on no one but, he does answer the prayers of the Saints.

I hope it will fit in this answer box. :*)

1: No... He could have looked into the future.. but he did not... Regarding God’s creation, including the first humans on earth, the Genesis account says: “God saw everything he had made and, look! it was very good.” (Genesis 1:31) Adam and Eve were perfectly made, ideally suited to their earthly environment. There was nothing deficient in their makeup. Created “very good,” they were certainly capable of the good conduct that was required of them. They were created “in God’s image.” (Genesis 1:27) So they had the capacity to demonstrate to some degree the godly qualities of wisdom, loyal love, justice, and goodness. Reflecting such qualities would help them to make decisions that would benefit them and bring pleasure to their heavenly Father. Jehovah endowed these perfect, intelligent creatures with free will. So they were by no means preprogrammed to please God—like some sort of robot. Think about it. Which would mean more to you—a gift that is given mechanically or one that comes from the heart? The answer is obvious. Likewise, if Adam and Eve had freely chosen to obey God, their obedience would have meant all the more to him. The capacity to choose enabled the first human pair to obey Jehovah out of love.—Deuteronomy 30:19, 20.

    2. Put simply, the ransom is Jehovah’s means to deliver, or save, humankind from sin and death. (Ephesians 1:7) Since a perfect human life was lost, no imperfect human life could ever buy it back. (Psalm 49:7, 8) What was needed was a ransom equal in value to what was lost. This is in harmony with the principle of perfect justice found in God’s Word, which says: “Soul will be for soul.” (Deuteronomy 19:21) So, what would cover the value of the perfect human soul, or life, that Adam lost? Another perfect human life was the “corresponding ransom” that was required.—1 Timothy 2:6.

    3. “I have even spoken it,” God declares, “I shall also do it.” (Isaiah 46:9-11; 55:11) Yes, what God purposes he will surely do! He says that he “did not create [the earth] simply for nothing” but “formed it even to be inhabited.” (Isaiah 45:18) What kind of people did God want to live on the earth? And for how long did he want them to live here? The Bible answers: “The righteous themselves will possess the earth, and they will reside forever upon it.”—Psalm 37:29; Revelation 21:3, 4.

    4. The Bible assures us: “There are new heavens and a new earth that we are awaiting according to [God’s] promise, and in these righteousness is to dwell.” (2 Peter 3:13; Isaiah 65:17) Sometimes when the Bible speaks of “the earth,” it means the people who live on the earth. (Genesis 11:1) So the righteous “new earth” is a society of people who receive God’s approval. Wickedness, warfare, crime, and violence will be gone. “The wicked one will be no more . . . But the meek ones themselves will possess the earth.” (Psalm 37:10, 11) Peace will exist because ‘God will make wars cease to the ends of the earth.’ (Psalm 46:9; Isaiah 2:4) Then “the righteous one will sprout, and the abundance of peace until the moon is no more”—and that means forever!—Psalm 72:7. The whole earth will become a paradise. Lovely new homes and gardens will occupy land that had once been ruined by sinful humans. (Isaiah 65:21-24; Revelation 11:18) As time passes, parts of the earth already subdued will expand until the whole globe is as beautiful and productive as the garden of Eden. And God will never fail to ‘open his hand and satisfy the desire of every living thing.’—Psalm 145:16. There will be peace between humans and animals. Wild and domestic animals will feed together. Even a little child will have nothing to fear from animals that are now dangerous.—Isaiah 11:6-9; 65:25. Sickness will vanish. As Ruler of God’s heavenly Kingdom, Jesus will do healing on a far grander scale than when he was on earth. (Matthew 9:35; Mark 1:40-42; John 5:5-9) Then “no resident will say: ‘I am sick.’”—Isaiah 33:24; 35:5, 6. Dead loved ones will be restored to life with the prospect of never dying. All those sleeping in death who are in God’s memory will be brought back to life. In fact, “there is going to be a resurrection of both the righteous and the unrighteous.”—Acts 24:15; John 5:28, 29

    1. yes

    2. the entire earth, cleansing all that was previously unclean and paying for the sin of all mankind.

    3. a) to reflect his nature by studying and obeying his word and being conversant in sharing him and his will with others through the manifestation of the gifts of the spirit and to endure hardness like good soldiers and make it all the way to the end and not faint.

    b) to be regrafted into the vine and saved through the blood of Jesus and to rejoin his family and worship Jesus the Messiah.

    c) it is his will that all be saved from their sin, so his will was made manifest through the blood of Jesus which has been shed for all. but it is also written that some of the vessels (people) on the earth are vessels which are fitted for destruction, so we are to understand that while God wants everyone to be saved from the consequesnces of their sin, there are many who will refuse to accept his plan of salvation and will therefore end up being thrown out and burned in the fire.

    4. we are to pray for the kingdom of God to come and for his will to be done on this earth even as it is already being done in heaven.

Praying for us brings peace. Say that somebody I knew replaced into unwell or something. i might elect to choose for them so as that i ought to contemporary my situation in the past God. In turn, i might understand that this might help confirm the effect, and that i may well be non violent, understanding that guy or woman is in God's palms.
