Sens acquire Ryan from Ducks. Thoughts.?

To Ottawa:

F Bobby Ryan

To Anaheim:

F Jakub Silferberg

F Stefan Noesen

2014 1st Round Pick (OTT)

I love this trade for both teams. Your thoughts?

Update:

I have trouble with some of the European names.

But, hey, don't we all? lol.

Ottawa did well for not trading one of Zibanejad, Turris, and Cowen before Silfverberg. Silf was a favorite of mine, and Noesen was one of the better prospects for the Sens, but you have to give to get. Bobby Ryan will be a good replacement for Alfie on the Wing, and should tear it up next season with Spezza on the top line.

In saying that, Anaheim just landed 2 great prospects and a first for Ryan. The team already has many up and coming players, and just have added 3 more young pieces. Anaheim is looking real good right now for the future.

All in all, fair value. Good trade for both teams.

Both teams win this. Fair return, if not overpayment. Bobby Ryan is a legitimate 30 goal scorer. He rides on his teammates however, but him and spezza will do damage. Silfverburg could end up being better than bobby. Noeson is a former first pick. A 1st overall is a 1st overall

They lost Alfie and needed a winger. They got two Clarke MacArthur and Bobby Ryan two 30 plus goal scorers to fill in the gap. Add these two to the core of talented youth they already have and the will look much better next season. If Alfie finished the season he may of got 20 plus goals.

I was surprised, Bobby Ryan made it clear that he wanted to play in Philly. Whether or not he still wants to is anybody's guess, but if he does don't be surprised to see him leave when his contract is up. For now, Ottawa got the better end of this though.

Excellent trade for Ottawa, i'd rather have Ryan over Alfredsson any day, Sens are a better team.
