How to convince my dad that i don't have any interest in engineering?

It's your life. You need to have the final say in what you want to do with your life. And take full responsibility for your decision.

Not all engineers are successful. Not all animators are successful. Not all careers are successful. And the definition of success varies from person to person. There are no guarantees in life, only opportunities.

Talk to your dad. As him what success means to him. Is it making money, social status or following what he is passionate about? If your version of success is finding joy in animation and creativity (shrishti as your name implies), ir-respective of the monetary results or other yardsticks from others, it brings, then follow your heart. And when you choose a career where your passion is,ur sense of self-worth would more than make up for other's opinions. Maybe later in your life, you may have passion for some other field. This is perfectly normal. Pursue it! Live in the present, not the past or future.

I say this from my personal experience. My dad wanted me to become IAS officer. I have followed my passion (Engineering) and each day is worth living!

Firstly it`s your life and as everyone today knows much of Engineering than animation . Firstly tell about what is animation and what are the future aspects of taking animation , show your interest in animation . show him best of your best animation projects you have made . Make him realise that your decision is worth for you . Firstly he will not accept but you have to be strict at your decision he will finally say yes ,

and he will be happy seeing you successfull in future , At some point of our life we have to take decisions that others may not like and some things that others don`t want us to do . But it your life .

One has to sacrifice and fight for dreams he or she dreams, to make them real.

See yeh jawani hai deewani with your dad , ranbir kapoor has to leave everything friends family to pursue his dream ,and although his dad was unhappy but was proud that his son has stand up for his dream , you has to stand up for your dream !!

Tell him that you're not interested in engineering and you wanna become an animator.

You can co it part time

If not then tell your father that u have ties with terrosist organisations and need chemical engg for help in bom b making

its means you father is a teacher......... do you really think that you are ready for engineering...... than tell your father that you will do engineering next year by getting a good rank in enterance exams....... and by this year you may fullfill your interest...... may be next year will change your father decision....
