Questions About War, Warfare, and Rules of War?

1 - How do you know who is "right" in a war between two different nations or in a civil war? I mean, if you look at two countries fighting each other as a spectator with no starting bias, how do you determine which country/countries is/are the "good guys" and who are the "bad guys"?

2 - How do you determine which side has officially "won" and what is required to make that discretion. For example, the U.S. military is in Afghanistan fighting armed insurgents. The insurgents have not surrendered and are still fighting, the U.S. has a huge upper hand (greater numbers, better tech). When is it safe to say "The war is over! The U.S. has victory."

3 - Where do ethics fit in? When is collateral damage to be considered murder? What rights do POW's deserve? What kinds of warfare should be considered war crimes?

4 - When should a war be declared? I mean, you wouldn't declare war because the other nation called you a mean name. What should be a good reason to invade another nation?

1 You never decide in war who is good but when a country attack on other without any genuin reasion than they are bad.

2 when other country cover there capital city or parliament

3 when someone surrender but other killed them or when you murder or raped civilized

4 when official declare or capture some area of others

  • Just stick to the Geneva and Hague Conventions....all of them. The rest is all arbitrary except that the insurgents operate outside the conventions....all of them and not a one in custody is a POW...all that means is they do not have to ever be released.

In the Middle East 50% of the marriages are between 1st cousins....their bloodlines are more screwed up than the European royals. I have a Palestinian family across the street...the husband and wife are 1st cousins...found out 2 weeks ago the oldest daughter (16) is engaged to her 1st cousin...does this give you a clue in regards to the mental state of the region. Read up on Mad King Ludwig...he built the Neuschwanstein Castle outside of Oberammergau FRG...been there more than once and heard all the stories. A flaming example of inbreeding!
