Obama is a master at using diversion tactics to take attention away from some of his less than sterling ideas. A vast majority of the American people are going to be severely hit when Obamacare fully goes into effect. Insurance will cost more and covered illnesses will be diminished. Obama wants to delay the implementation of the full force of his care package so people's attention won't be on it when the next elections roll around. He is very aware that if he goes forward with the full impact of his health care package there will be a great many very angry people in this country who will be forced to purchase very expensive insurance or pay a hefty fine. He doesn't want the people to be thinking about anything but what he tells them he is going to do for them in the years ahead. Eventually, all of his covert plans will be implemented and the people will realize just how much of a mess we are in.

Well the CBO to pay for it allowed $300 billion* in penalties and some taxes on the premium policies. I called my congressman's office here and they are suppose to get back to me on that one. but if you look at the new 'revised' numbers below, just scroll below the graph you see that the bulk of the 300 billion was to be paid by the businesses or about 2/3ths. So not sure how they can pay for it without doing this.. It's like a double edged sword as if they take it from the people it is bad and then the businesses have already told how many they have to lay off because of it.; So not sure and remember the lobbyists paid Congress a billion to pass the thing unread. But look at the numbers and maybe we can figure it out. Thing is people already know and so do businesses as the second link shows a hospital in Indiana that is laying off about 800 employees. take care.

At least 5-8 senators are in trouble. Plus the job numbers are still bad. Nobody will hire 40 hour full timers any more. Everybody is a temp hire or under 32 hours to met the Obamacare regs.

Its not about the elections at all. Its mostly because republicans have spent so much time and money on court cases that is the reason for the push back.

This is to get the business ready for it and better know the bill. A great many have openly liked it when they got a better understanding of the bill from actual knowledge of the bill. You know not the person that listens to Fox News and Rush Limbaugh for their news.

I've asked this question twice with no reasonable explanations from Democrats as to evidence that the Obama administration itself isn't admitting this whole health care mess SUCKS.

Or it could be the Republicans are pushing it off so much it never goes into effect. Though since I stopped caring about politics I wouldn't really know why.

He is trying to fix a problem that has taken 50 yrs to create. The economy is doing well, so neither he, nor anyone else, wants to create too much of a shock by changing things too quickly, he wants to let businesses adjust to the new rules (which is just that everyone needs to get health care and start acting responsible about it) which is a good thing to do, and he does it, because he is a good President.
