How to not be awkward during a first kiss?

Try getting closer to him, gradually, slowly. Don't say anything and make sure he isn't talking, either. Just gaze into each other's eyes. Ever hear the saying "the love in your eyes"? Try to convey that emotion into your eyes and if he's smart, he'll get the picture and make a move. Close your eyes when it happens - leaving them open is a bit ridiculous. That's just my advice....

Get semi close to him, but not creepily close, and look at him a lot. Admire him and make him feel wanted. When you think it's the right time just look at his lips and his eyes and smile, then once you feel that click of good emotions go in to kiss him.

it's going to be a little awkward. Just have fun with it and enjoy the moment. You won't get anything out of being nervous.
