Were you, like me, also forced to switch to a new format for your email home page? IMHO the new ...?

... the new format is really bad, much slower and harder to use than the old one.

my dad always told me, "if it ain't broke, don't fix it." And IMHO Yahoo could hear that one again only louder. "IF IT AIN"T BROKE DON"T FIX IT!" yes I was yelling on that last line. If you agree with me please Answer below and tell Yahoo, to give us the option to go back to the old email format. Just say "Let us go Back, yahoo!" or if you want to emphasize it, "LET US GO BACK YAHOO!"

Update:

BTW, Not only is the new format harder to distinquish what to do with your emails, it is slower. And I was torced me to switch, because I could not access my email page with out clicking on one or the other of the new choices. I REALLY do not appreciate being forced to change something I am happy with. THAT IS REALLY A LOW way of trying to change something. Give us an option to go back to the old format Yahoo! The sooner the better.

Update 2:

"That should have read, "I was forced to switch." not "I was torced me to switch." Were you also forced to switch? Tell us about it.

I absolutely HATE HATE HATE the new yahoo mail. The graphics are dull, and ugly, the colour is hideous and doesn't seem to be able to be changed, to your taste, unlike the Yahoo Classic mail. There is NO more ' spell check' or ' emoticons'. I used spell check in some emails, and the emoticon in many - I like to add a ' smile or a wink' from time to time. Also, my Avatar - that little picture that 'brands me' - isn't on the email ' homepage' anymore.

I can't say enough times how much I HATE this new format. I even tried the old 'turn off your javascript, momentarily,' route, then you are 'asked by yahoo to switch back to classic mail.' Even THAT doesn't work anymore. Guess they closed THAT little 'loophole'. Hopefully if enough of us complain vehemently, they'll let us switch back. The customer is always right, afterall.... ;)

I, too, was forced to switch from Classic mail and I don't see ANY advantage to the Basic mail format. I checked out the Full-feature Mail and don't want to use it because it doesn't have any way (that I could find) to save email messages to my computer. So far, I really dislike the new formats and would like to switch back to Classic. Please, Yahoo, GO BACK TO CLASSIC! I'm not really shouting, I just want to emphasize my statement.

So far, these are the three biggest problems I haven't figure out:

    1. quickly entering email addresses from my contact list (would like to enter a few characters and then choose from a list in a drop down box)

    2. how do I edit a contact? (it might be obvious to the programmers, but not to us)

    3. how do I "Check All," for instance, when clearing the spam folder?

Yes, but not for the reason you might think. Because of the NSA scandal I have gone to an email server that is encrypted and doesn't share data. My yahoo accounts are just for Yahoo associated functions.
